GETTING STARTED

How to use AI Reviewer

Follow the arrows from left to right. Each label matches a button or page in your workspace. Choose your role to see the steps from course materials to released feedback.

INSTRUCTOR WORKFLOW

Prepare → Assign → Review → Release

  1. Create a course

    HomeNew courseCreate course

Enter the course code, title and description. If your course already exists, open it from Explore courses instead.

  2. Add course knowledge

Explore coursesMaterialsUpload materialsExtract into knowledge base

Upload course documents or a ZIP package. Check that the materials were parsed before using them as evidence for AI reviews. Units can organize materials by chapter or topic.

  3. Create an assignment and rubric

    AssignmentsNew assignmentRubric criteriaScoring detailsPublish assignment

Set the title, deadline, instructions and submission requirements. Add criteria and their maximum points, then customize dimensions, checks and performance levels. The default scoring rules are saved even if you leave them unchanged.

  4. Adjust rules or student visibility

    AssignmentsScoring settingsSave and activate

Edit existing scoring rules here. In the course Rubric tab, Hide scoring details keeps criterion names, descriptions and points visible to students, but hides dimensions, checks and performance levels. Existing reviews retain their original scoring rules.

  5. Review the AI feedback

    AI ReviewsReview

After a student submits, inspect the feedback and its evidence. Approve, edit or reject items as appropriate. Review failed calls before retrying; students cannot see unreleased feedback.

  6. Release feedback to students

    ReviewRelease to student

Finish the required checks on the review page and release the approved feedback. Students can then open it from their AI Reviews tab. Use Student questions to respond to concerns about released feedback.

Instructor reviewing means the feedback has not been released yet. Once it is released, read the comments, evidence and next-step suggestions. Use the question form on the feedback page if something needs clarification.

UNDERSTAND THE RUBRIC

How the scoring pieces fit together

Rubric structure

Assignment → Criteria → Dimensions → Checks → Performance levels

Dimension weights and check weights must each total 100% within their parent. Keep at least one dimension and check.

Define observable boundaries for each check: full credit means all named conditions are evidenced; partial credit must name which essential conditions are still met; zero credit requires evidence that the essential condition is not met. For example, a minor arithmetic slip with a correct method may be partial credit, while using the opposite detection rule may be zero. Adapt these examples explicitly to each check; missing or unreadable evidence needs confirmation, not an automatic zero.

Editing tips
Use Add dimension and Add check to extend the rubric. Remove dimension deletes that dimension and its checks; Remove check deletes only that check. Expand Performance levels to edit credit and descriptions. Adding or removing a level keeps it expanded. Before saving, make sure each weight group totals 100%.
